Storage Switzerland has covered enterprise storage, backup and data protection since the days when RAID, NAS and SAN were new ideas. Our readers are storage architects, backup administrators, IT directors and the vendors who build for them. They come here for plain analysis of what a technology does, where it fits in the data center and what it will cost to run. If you can write that way, we would like to hear from you. This write for us page explains what we publish, how sponsored placements work and how to submit an article.
We are looking for practical, technically grounded articles on the subjects our readers manage every day:
Case studies, product-neutral comparisons and lessons learned from real deployments do particularly well. We are less interested in vendor press releases dressed up as articles.
We accept two kinds of contribution. A guest post is contributed editorial from a practitioner, analyst or vendor engineer with something useful to say. A sponsored post is a paid placement from a company that wants to reach our readers with an article of its own. Both are published on the same terms: the article is permanent, it is indexed by search engines, and any editorial link it contains is a standard dofollow link. We do not remove or alter published articles after the fact unless there is a factual error or a legal reason.
Sponsored articles are labelled as sponsored where disclosure is required, and we ask that any commercial relationship behind a guest post be declared to us when you pitch. Pricing for sponsored placements is available on request; tell us what you have in mind and we will reply with a quote. Typical turnaround from accepted draft to publication is three to five working days.
Our contributor guidelines are short. Please read them before you submit an article.
Email the editor at [email protected] with the subject line "Guest post: [your topic]". A short pitch is enough to start: the working title, three or four sentences on the angle and who it helps, and whether you are proposing a guest post or a sponsored post. Complete drafts are welcome if you already have one. We answer every pitch, usually within two working days, and we will tell you clearly if a subject is not a fit so you can place it elsewhere.
Whether you want to write for us, submit an article you have already drafted, or discuss a sponsored post, the address is the same: [email protected].
